Position : Security Specialist - Investigator
Location : Cincinnati, OH
Job Purpose
The role of the Security Specialist is to help support the strategy, goals, and objectives of the CBTS Security (Cyber and Physical Security) organization. CBTS Security develops policies, standards, and guidelines and provides services to mitigate cyber and physical risks to CBTS data, IT systems, electronic products, facilities, physical assets, and, most importantly, its employees.
CBTS Security works with the business to assess risk and implement appropriate security measures. CBTS Security also enables business opportunities by leveraging security capabilities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience conducting highly sensitive, complex, and confidential investigations and turning those findings into well-documented reports. The candidate will also work closely with multiple internal teams (Human Resources, Legal, IT) regulatory and law enforcement organizations. Additional experience with physical security training, physical security auditing, international travel, and executive protection is highly desired.
Essential Functions
Security Management - Establishment, facilitation, or operation of cyber and physical security processes to protect an organization's facilities, assets, information, and services.
Risk Management – Identifies, documents, and mitigates potential cyber and physical security risks.
Compliance Management - Assess and facilitate the organization's compliance with external regulatory requirements related to security and active participation with external consortia and agencies.
Policies and standards - Develop and deliver commercially acceptable policies and standards that mitigate physical and cyber risks to CBTS data, IT systems, electronic products, facilities, and physical assets.
Security Implementation and Operations - Operationalize documented solutions and deliver day-to-day security operations and support, including investigating, documenting, and reporting security incidents to leadership.
Innovative Solutions - Designs creative solutions that use technologies and processes to mitigate physical and cyber risks to CBTS data, IT systems, electronic products, facilities, and physical assets.
Education
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience
3 to 5 years of work experience, including security, auditing, investigations, or Law Enforcement experience.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Training in investigation and forensic policies and practices
Experience in the management of cyber and physical security incidents
Knowledge of cyber and physical security mitigation tools and practices
Ability to build relationships and work with various teams internal and external teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of regulatory and privacy compliance regulations
Work Environment
Office setting and occasional fieldwork
