Cincinnati Bell Senior Project Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio
Position : Senior Project Manager
Location : Cincinnati, OH
Job Purpose :
Coordinate with altafiber customer implementations from contract phase through project delivery and first billing of projects with medium to difficult complexity and scope. Utilize Project Management tools (project schedules, risk analysis, etc.), maintain customer and project team collaboration, manage customer expectations and status meetings, and identify project risks. Contribute to altafiber PMO initiatives to increase productivity, recognize hard and soft cost savings, and deliver increased customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions :
Coordinate with customers to manage the implementation of projects that have simple to difficult complexity; construct and publish dedicated project schedules
Manage and coordinate project activities and lead project teams; identify and publish risk analysis as appropriate
Construct and publish program reports for budget and capital expenditures
Conduct and lead project team meetings; publish and maintain meeting logs and minutes to ensure team collaboration
Administrative duties as required; other duties as dictated by business and management
Experience :
5+ yrs Telco & IT experience; supervisory or team leader experience
5+ years experience managing technology/telephony projects Experience working with customer's technical, business, operational, and financial staff
Experience directing technical hardware and software vendors
Experience directing communication vendors
5+ years experience with Client/Server applications, Networking Technologies, TCP/IP, Metaframe, Windows server, Storage Systems, Network Security Methodologies, and other related business technologies
5+ years Project Management experience delivering technical solutions
Education :
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses :
PMP certification is strongly preferred or additional work experience
Six Sigma training is preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to utilize Microsoft project and experience with the entire Microsoft Office suite
Ability to lead multiple diverse projects (projects with many facets)
Customer-focused interpersonal skills, professional conduct, and strong communication skills to effectively gather information, ask questions to clarify technical requirements, discuss technical solutions with the customer, and discuss problems with internal personnel, external vendors, and clients
Knowledgeable within related technical disciplines including IT Services, Disaster Recovery (D/R), and IP Telephony
Ability to establish customer-focused project delivery expectations
Experience with altafiber tools & PM methodologies
Agile, scrum and kanban experience a must
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Leads Work Teams for employees doing similar work
May supervise two or more exempt employees
