Position : Manager - Technical Operations - AWS IAM

Location : Ohio, OH

Job Purpose

Manages a team of AWS IAM Engineers responsible for the development and support of AWS IAM resources including users, groups, roles, and policies. Leads and actively participates in the interpretation and implementation of AWS IAM access policies and procedures for our customer. Creates and maintains a high performing team by attracting, developing, and retaining talent to ensure business needs are accomplished. Participates in the development of new or existing service offerings for CBTS Managed Services.

Essential Functions

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to meet assigned customer and project deliverables (25%)

  • Monitor and evaluate team processes and procedures; make changes as necessary to meet or exceed customer or project demands (25%)

  • Interact directly with customers on deployments as well as a point of escalation for issues (25%)

  • Ensure team is properly trained on technology and systems to effectively design, implement and support network services (10%)

  • Participate in solutions and service offerings in general or with specific customers (10%)

  • Research emerging technologies (5%)

  • • This is a highly visible, customer-facing leadership role, leading a team of engineers responsible for timely implementation of AWS IAM access policies and procedures.• Drives operational efficiencies and process improvement in the development and implementation of AWS IAM access policies in a large enterprise environment.• Ensures the developed solutions follow corporate IAM security policies/standards and regulatory requirements while enforcing the principle of least privilege.• Manages team changes, incidents, and outages to restore service and minimize impact to IAM services.• Develops high understanding of customer perspective and requirements and formulates a plan to meet those.• Actively participates in the day-to-day delivery of AWS IAM Operations and regular communication with the customer.• Prepares and presents formal presentations related to assigned projects.• Leverages systems & processes to develop a cohesive team & retain talented individuals to exceed customer needs.• Evaluates team performance and provides feedback, empowerment, and coaching.

Experience

  • 10 years' experience with the design, installation, and support of enterprise systems

  • 5+ years’ experience leading a team of engineers, contractors, and third parties to deliver complex systems.• Strong technical experience in the development and implementation of AWS IAM enterprise solutions.• Experience in project management, enterprise implementation, strategic planning, business acumen, and change management.

Education

  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • Appropriate discipline certifications (preferred)

  • Preferred candidates or possess the equivalent experience: AWS Developer Assoc or AWS Solution Architect Assoc

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong technical skills regarding a wide range of technologies and services (i.e. voice, data, internet, LAN, WAN, etc.)

  • Strong leadership skills, either in project management or a team lead capacity

  • Excellent coaching skills and a high understanding of customer perspective and corporate goals

  • Ability to determine client needs and formulate a plan to meet those needs

  • Ability to develop processes and procedures for supporting and implementing complex, enterprise networks and/or networking/computing systems

  • Ability to manage people with a diversity of talents, including highly skilled engineers

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications skills

  • Excellent analytical ability and problem-solving skills

  • Sound judgment and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
