Position : Finance Associate

Job Purpose :

This position will have two tracks of responsibilities.

The primary role of this position will be to support the pricing strategies that have been created by Finance. This role involves assessing discounted pricing requests from Sales and making decisions to approve, or provide alternative options. The individual will work with Product Development, Finance and Operations in order to evaluate requests. The primary objective of this position is to maximize profitability while minimizing risk, and to ensure that pricing decisions align with overall business goals and objectives. In this role, the individual will also have to facilitate legal and technical requests from Sales by serving as an intermediary between employees in the Legal and Operations groups and the Sales teams.

The secondary role of this position will to assist with several administrative tasks related to Real Estate and Finance. In this role, the individual will work with the CFO, VP of Finance and Senior Director of Finance.

Essential Functions :

• Pricing

• Daily review of Sales discount requests for existing products

• Require an understanding of margins associated with products

• Ability to communicate with Sales, Product Managers, Operations and Finance to determine the correct pricing and ensure financial metrics are met and requests are responded to in a timely fashion

• Daily review of contract requests from Sales

• Ability to make minor changes to customer contracts

• Ability to communicate with Sales, Product Manager and Legal to mitigate risks to the company and ensure adjustments are made in a timely fashion

• Real Estate

• Create PRFs for Real Estate related expenses (building construction, CAM charges, rent expense, office equipment)

• Maintain relevant data for landlords - banking information, management company

• Respond to Estoppel letters

• Send out notices to facilities for fire alarm testing, maintenance work, fire warden training

• Reconcile, schedule and account for annual CAM true ups

• Reconcile, schedule rent payable

• Handle termination notices

• Maintain schedule of all properties, including relevant data

• Maintain lease schedules

• Approve invoices for payment

• Finance

• Expense review and approval

• Handle administrative tasks of F&A Leadership as needed

Education :

Four years of High School or equivalent

Relevant Work Experience :

2 to 4 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Proficient with PCs for analysis (Excel) and presentation (Word and Powerpoint)

• Understanding of key financial metrics (Gross Margin, ROI, Operating Income, NPV)

• Understanding of basic economic and marketplace dynamics

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
