Cincinnati Bell Senior Voice Manager in Remote, United States

Position : Senior Voice Manager

Job Purpose

The Senior Voice Manager will have at least 10+ years of complex VoIP architecture, design, implementation, and/or operations experience in a mid-sized corporation/ or service provider infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated skills in VoIP technologies that CBTS/CBT delivers. Candidates should have extensive experience implementing and/or operating the latest network technologies such as VoIP. In this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral are a necessity. Ability to document processes clearly is of extreme importance. Work closely with the Manager and other members of the implementation and/or operations team.

Essential Functions

  • Lead design and architecture strategy for deployment and/or operations projects and/or efforts

  • Take direction from direct supervisor for career training and skill development

  • Lead requirements gathering for deployment and/or operations projects and/or efforts

  • Provide overall VoIP strategy for the organization

  • Assist and/or deployment and/or operations team(s) with VoIP deployments and/or operations

  • Accurately document deployment processes and project notes

  • Exchange information, verbally and in writing, clearly, accurately, reliably, and timely

  • Coach and monitor for high team performance

  • Supporting problem resolution and decision-making

  • Conducting timely performance evaluations

  • Translating corporate goals into functional and individual goals

  • Monitoring and controlling expenses and timecards

  • Tracking and reporting team metrics

  • Hiring and staffing

  • Training new employees

Experience

  • Over 10 years of experience

  • VoIP deployment experience with small to enterprise-sized corporation and/or service provider infrastructures

  • Experience as a point of escalation or subject matter expert

  • Strong experience with technology or strong aptitude for technology based on Director level assessment

  • Specific Technology Experience

  • Plan, design, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain VoIP systems and equipment

  • Strong understanding of SIP and SIP troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of analog and Ethernet cabling standards

  • Test, turn up, and support SIP trunks, PRI's and voice gateways

  • Test, turn up, and support analog gateways

  • Background in routing and switching with Q0S experience a plus

  • Multi-vendor VoIP experience a plus

  • Additional VoIP certifications a plus

  • Call Center experience a plus

  • Instant Messaging, Conferencing, and Video Conferencing a plus

  • Unix and/or Linux experience is a plus

  • Deploying and/or operating multi-tenant and/or hosted solutions a plus

Education

  • Four years of High School or equivalent

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Work Environment

  • Requires in the field / on customer premises for VoIP deployment projects and/or operations

  • Requires in the office or warehouse for VoIP deployment projects and/or operations
